Aware Parenting for Tweens and Teens

This 3.5 hour workshop explores the transitions from the Tween years into Teens.

There can be so many changes that happen as children shift into the teen years and this workshop aims to equip parents with insights and understandings around the transitions that children are making.

Understanding the changes in the brain and the body and how hormones really affect behavior can help you maintain connections when kids pull away.

Understanding a tweens/teens digital world and how to navigate technology and trust our children as well as keeping them safe is also explored along with what age-appropriate conversations that you should be having and what you need to look out for. We also discuss how to navigate Pornography and our highly sexualised world.

This workshop also focuses on understanding and looking behind the behavior. What is your child really saying and how you can maintain great boundaries as well as staying connected.

We also explore why your kids push your buttons and how exploring our own teenage years can help to heal your past so you can have a great relationship with your child.

“I attended your workshop this afternoon and haven’t stopped chewing my husband’s ears off since I got home. Your workshop today was one of the VERY best ones I have been too and I wanted to let you know just how valuable this work you are doing is. I had tears, laughed, nodded my head to so many things along with feeling my own blocks rear their heads and knowing I have further work to do for myself and my kids. It really was brilliant.”
